It took five holes until three García Extras then deliver the title to Larrazabal.

The Spaniards had traded the initiative throughout the final day, but Garcia birdie 18 tied the couple in 16 low.

Garcia has been without a tournament victory since November 2008 and fell to 64 in the world rankings.

But at least he has described the world number two for Championships next month open thanks to this result.

A seventh place finish in the open United States week last inspired hope of returning to the form, and its presentation in this tournament has been the momentum continue.

A number of birdies on the sixth, seventh and eighth preceded by two magnificent long range putts for eagle on the ninth and 11 and give it a shot two lead with seven holes left to play.

However, four bogeys in five holes saw him falling to second behind the winner.

It remained so until Garcia birdied the last to force Larrazabal 18th tee for the first extra hole.

An impressive approach shot from Garcia requested early pressure from Larrazabal, but 28 years responded with a nearly identical layout.

The next hole, also 18, saw Larrazabal advantage thanks to tee rebel your opponent's shot, but García excavated an impressive recovery from rough to keep alive their hopes.

From there the tiebreaker was moved to par three 12th where Garcia was agonisingly to the victory - his putt from 20 feet from the Strip seemed to place but curled around the lips of entry and exit.

Garcia's putt on the next hole diverted around creating a chance very gettable Larrazabal 14 feet - but the Spanish saw his effort drifting to the right of the drill and spin away.

18 More, despite the hero put Garcia earlier in the day, its a difficult putt miss downhill opened the door to direct Larrazabal winner.

"Last week we lost my grandpa."It is a victory for him, said the champion.

"To beat one of my heroes when I was growing up is just a dream - very emotional."

Further down the leaderboard, overnight leader Mark Foster never recovered after short films on the water in the fourth end tied for third at 14 under.

He shared third place with Scott Jamieson Scotland - who carded a best-of-la-day 64 - Retief Goosen, George Coetzee and Joost Luiten.

More birdies in the first and fourth led him to a two shot lead at five under and lost another birdie opportunity very makeable in the fourth, his 14th.

"It was a good start but there are still a long way to go." We have not done anything yet, ", said Garcia.

But four bogeys in five holes from had filtering, and then double-bogeyed the 18th in 39 before coming in one low.
"All we have struggled a bit and could not gain much momentum," said Donald, who has won twice this season and finished in the top 10 in 15 of their last 16 tournaments.
"Three more isn't large, but I know that if shoot something in the Red I'll make good progress."
Westwood, seeking his first major title, as Donald had six bogeys and two birdies in his 75.
"I swing very well and simply did not go unscathed in a US Open," said English.
"If we had played like the first three in the world it would have been more pleasant for people to see, but none of us played well, and all have almost what you deserve."
McDowell began with a ghost in the first but redeemed himself immediately in the second short and he picked up another shot in the sixth before parring his way home.
Content McDowell with opening 70
"It's a dream start and I am very happy with it," said the Irish of the North, which has admitted to feeling the weight of being the champion of the open United States in the last few months.
"It felt great." It felt like a major championship regular. I don't feel as if I defense of anything.
"I marked some challenges this morning to go out and try to think well, try to go through my processes correctly, through my routines, be patient and enjoy the round.""And that really managed to stuff".
Robert Rock England did not have time for a practice round when he was delayed in the United Kingdom trying to get a U.S. visa but was all in 70 for one low.

McIlroy, 22, with the biggest lead at halfway in the history of the US Open and he had published lower total of 36 holes with 66, 65 131 and 11 bass.

He also became the first US Open player to reach 13 under but double-bogeyed the last through the water.

Second major of the year is traditionally set up to discourage low score and only 14 of the 156-man field finished under par during the second longest in the history of the US Open.

But McIlroy Ireland of North, who led by three shots after an opening 65, produced another Masterclass in Maryland and was in the clubhouse with an advantage of eight shots before the second man Yang had started his second round.

McIlroy birdied the fourth and sixth and then saw his tone 113 yards for the eighth turn from the back of the Green and the fall of an eagle as partner game that Mickelson applauded.

The shot gave McIlroy seven-stroke lead and it made him the first player in the 111-year history of the US Open to reach 10 bass during the second round.

Another birdie followed on the 14th for 467 yards and he watched in agony as his putt for Eagle at 16 was out by a hair's breadth.

The ensuing birdie took him alongside Woods (2000) and Gil Morgan (1992) as the only man to reach 12 bass in a US Open, but he took the own record 17 with another birdie.

But McIlroy captured left rough with his drive on 18 and second place is the water of the Green en route to a double-bogey six.

Few would have broken record of Nick Faldo the lowest total half way in the main story (130 in 1992 in the same open). However, he did break the US Open record for lowest total of 36 holes of 132 set at 2009 American Ricky Barnes.

The two shots lost 18 were the first strokes McIlroy had filtered all tournament. In 36 holes he has hit 32 Greens in regulation and 20 of 28 streets.

"Is mostly to do with my attitude more than anything else," McIlroy said. "I did a piece after Augusta stating that it had to be a little more arrogant on the golf course, a little more arrogant and think a little more about myself, that I have tried to incorporate a little, only on the golf course."

"Par golf could now be sufficient, but I have to go out there and play the way have been playing and make very committed changes and play aggressively to the objectives that".

Yang briefly threatened to eat lead of McIlroy after picking up two shots in three holes to get at the same time five low, but a delay of 42 minutes of lightning in the area derailed his position and they exchange two birdies with two bogeys that home.

Twenty-one players were left to finish their first rounds on Saturday after dusk arrested after the delay of game time.

McIlroy leading margin equaled the Tiger Woods brand established in the open of the United States in 2000, when he went on to win by a record 15 shots.

"I have to keep focused and keep strong mentally for the next 36 holes".

Robert Rock reached halfway as the English leader after adding a 71 to his opening of 70 for one low despite not reach in time for a practice round after delays in the United Kingdom with visa problems.

The Mickelson's 41 years of age, a US Open finalist five times, had a day to forget with his driver on Thursday but found more control with edge before match McIlroy per double bogeying 18.

"Amazing smoothly and then great on the Greens," said Mickelson's game partner McIlroy. "His first two rounds were very impressive."

Improved Westwood his opening round by seven shots, while Donald rose to nominal level after four birdies on his front nine but gave all four back after the delay to flirt with the Court.

"The attitude that I'm going in the next two days is to test and get past who is in second place - and we are going to see what makes Rory," said Westwood. "He has had contact before."

McDowell's Magic

There are many mysteries in the world of golf. Why, for example, are the two best players on the planet hoping to claim a major title? And why is the most recent winner of United Kingdom one of the four great titles so perplexed by the most precious of his career to date trophy?
While Luke Donald and Lee Westwood prepare for the inevitable questions about the paradox of their positions high in the rankings and no more than his name, Graeme McDowell is again in the knowledge that had already dodged having to endure these questionnaires.
Donald and Westwood surprising levels of consistency on Tour offer abundant justification of his status as number one in the world and two. This, however, not stop the issue "more important" were thrown in the days before the US Open in the Congress. That, in turn, you can make the task of breaking his duck more difficult to achieve.
This particular pressure no longer exists for McDowell, defending the Crown who won at Pebble Beach when last year he tees in Maryland on Thursday.
Twelve months ago, the ranking said that it was the 37th best player in the world, made it had barely managed to in the open field. He moved to California that just won the Wales open in brilliant style and although he felt game "confidence calm" in the second major of the year, the man from Portrush in Northern Ireland had no idea quite how his life was about to change.
To view this content you need to install Flash and Javascript enabled. Visit BBC Webwise for full instructions. If you are reading through RSS, you will need to visit the blog to access this content.
This week, McDowell has flown to United States to defend his title as the global number of eight, the man who had held his nerve to close the Ryder Cup for Europe and as a golfer, at the end of last year, overcame Tiger Woods as the number one of the world stood at the threshold of putting an end to a streak which continues to this day.
When asked what the greatest McDowell has learned about himself in the past year, responds: "the best that I can manage to be one of the best players in the world."
"It will always be my first major championship." (2010) Always will be my definition of year, my first year as a player for what I'll never have to go through this process, "said 31-year-old age."
By capitalizing on the early third-round leader fall Dustin Johnson at Pebble Beach and then Northern Woods, Phil Mickelson and Ernie Els, as well as Gregory Havret, the unlikely French challenger, McDowell was able to become the first European for 40 years to claim the national championship of United States.
That last day, remember looking at the classification tables for the first time on the back nine. McDowell had carded only two bogeys since the middle of the street in the ninth and tenth holes. "I have seen that no one was making a move and still had two shots on the front."
"I shot 74 to win the US Open." It is not particularly attractive, but I played a better that day to a 74. I really hit the ball pretty well that day. I can not get a huge amount of the round, I just made a birdie, but that it is difficult to Pebble was, "recalled."
"One of the things that my proudest is Woods was on the Board and Mickelson was on the Board of Directors and Els was on the Board, three players".
By coincidence the achievement of Tony Jacklin, the last European to win a US Open, McDowell won instant recognition of this side of the pond, although it is regrettable that his victory was on the eve of Wimbledon and in the middle of the World Cup, otherwise would have received even greater recognition.
However, he embarked on a world tour with the famous but puzzling silver trophy in tow everywhere that was. "He has traveled a few miles of air", he smiled. Finally this prized possession ended up sitting in his Office at his home in Lake Nona, and since then it has been a source of curiosity for the player and his management team.
"The Lady bit at the top of the trophy, it has been a little skew-whiff", said. "We thought we had done that;" It has been in some bars and restaurants, and there has been some drinks and we have been drunk and whatever. "We think that perhaps we damaged."
McDowell fears were eased with the arrival of two versions of replica of 90 per cent ordered. "The Lady is bit skew-whiff to those as well." But then when I was in Congress some six weeks ago, its replica (the USGA) exists and is in perfect there.
Another curiosity is that while he backed up his victory in Pebble Beach for the decisive hero at Celtic Manor in the Ryder Cup was not until the end of 2010 than the American public golf course fully had recognized competitive talent of McDowell.
It was then that he persecuted Woods in the pit's closure of the main champions tournament fourteen time near Los Angeles, and then beat him in sudden death. "It's amazing how much notoriety won in the States due to", said McDowell.
"I would say 50 percent of the people probably mentions the US Open I and 50 per cent of the population include Chevron, or even more." "I have gained great prestige in United States that one."
It is likely that the confidence needed to achieve that victory was in charge of his exploits in Pebble Beach and Celtic Manor previously in the year. Get a first major Crown is a huge monkey back any player and how expensive Donald and Westwood would like to get rid of this primate particular.
For McDowell, the future is all about the construction of the platform the year past has given. "I don't want to be a one hit wonder, but I want to be the best player I can be."
"I have, five, perhaps ten probably the best moment of my career of 15 years"? I have a hell of improving to do much, there are many areas of my game I can get much, much better.

During this visit to Congress to help promote the Championship of this year (which is an Ambassador of textbooks for the game) was a cold day and the course played brutally long. Certainly not fit his eye in the form made Pebble Beach the past year, but he is selfless.
"Congress will be a huge milestone for me, it really is." "I'm very excited to come and I am excited to have this weight really took off from my shoulders". Speaking the charge of being a great champion.
"It is a weight that is giving me down"? No. does is unconsciously taking me? "It could be, I don't know".
As an effective is an operator in the media that tent, McDowell clearly enjoys posing and try to answer your own questions. Does "I love having these conversations on the US Open and the Ryder Cup"? I love having them.
"These are great memories, but I am prepared to go ahead with the rest of my career." "I am prepared to reorient myself and try to be the best player I can be."
It is the luxury of being a big winner and that is the award this week in the sights of Donald, Westwood and endless possibilities for the first time the winners.
However, to overcome this obstacle, they will have to overcome first to someone who knows exactly what it takes. Only then can also attempt to solve the mystery of the first lady on the trophy.

Top of the world

Luke Donald put his money where his mouth and he left at the top of the world.
Donald said at the beginning of the week that he felt as the best player in the world and after a roller coaster of four days in the Championship of the PGA at Wentworth, showed.
The party drum for the event on the European tour flagship talked about the quality of the field - the best three players in the world, six of seven up in the world rankings, all the four major champions, the majority of the Ryder Cup team. In the end it became a direct duel between the best two of the world and Donald delivered the decisive blow in a sudden death playoff to topple Lee Westwood.
Donald, 33, became the third English Sir Nick Faldo and Westwood to be number one on the crowned world and 15 in general from that classification were introduced in 1986. However, as Westwood before him, Donald said that the first is flattering but not an objective in itself.
Donald reflects that "obviously it is a special something forever achievement, you remember". "It is something that is going to be a great story when I am an old saying that my grandchildren that once was the best player in the world in golf." It is a bit surreal.
"I am not going to lie, it seems fantastic, but winning is always at the top of the list." Winning is what got me there. A great victory in the Match Play and a great victory here. "I still have much work to do and a lot of titles to pick up."

There will be those who say, as they did with Westwood, which is not worthy of a number one in the world without a major victory. Do but does, for example, a major title in a modest career best player of the feat of being recognized as the most consistent - and therefore to spell, the best - on the planet?

Ultimately, however, older are the currency in which trying to golf courses and unique objective of Donald at the beginning of the year was to fight in all four majors. He was fourth in the Masters and it goes to the US Open in Congress two weeks a high.
It has now finished in the top 10 in 13 of his last 14 events, including nine consecutive win the WGC Match Play title in February and was second in the Match Play World Championship last week.
Its current execution of the form and its greater victoria strokeplay so far must silence the criticisms that dogged previous parts of his career.
Donald, born in Hemel Hempstead and now based in Chicago, made his first mark as a champion collegiate golfer at Northwestern University in the United States in 1999. He played on the victorious side of GB & Ireland Walker Cup and again in 2001 this year before pro.
He won his first event, in the Southern Farm Bureau classic on the PGA Tour in 2002 and added two European titles in 2004. Donald finished third in the Masters in his debut in 2005 and scored another us wins the Honda classic, in 2006. In that same year also came third in the USPGA.
However, he then came set-aside requirement for the success of the title a a spell. Known as "Plod" for his accurate and stable, he had stored life-changing amounts of money (currently over 22 million United States dollars) without more wins - a State of affairs once had unfairly called 'Luke Donald of disease'.
But Donald was develop and build slowly and finally broke the dam when he won the Masters in Madrid 2010, the week after blowing the initiative the 17th in the final round of the PGA at Wentworth. She was third in the Celtic Manor Wales open immediately after, and then played a role protagonist as a wildcard, winning his third CAP in the side of Ryder Cup captain Colin Montgomerie Europe in October 2010. Now not only he won two titles this season, but takes the money charts in America and Europe.
Donald form has coincided with the link up with coach Dave Alred-former guru of star of England's rugby Jonny Wilkinson from performance to complement the work of his coach of 14 years Pat Goss oscillation. The player also said that the birth of his first son Elle last year has been a huge benefit for his life.
"Has been a true blessing to become a father," said Donald. "My golf only has been strengthening." It has given me much more responsibility. I grew up and be a better person.
"Really is an inspiration to me, just watching her grow, acquire new knowledge, adaptation, getting better in what is." That is what I am trying to do in golf, too. Only every day, try to find a way to improve. "She makes every day". International Golf needs care - wife of Donald Diane is waiting for her second child in November.
But in Wentworth saw a different to Donald side, too. No longer the plodder, but it can also won ugly. The opening 64 was impressive. Liabilities 40 Saturday belonged to the freak show. He/she off the tee, spent more time in the trees that Tarzan.

However, rather than capitulation, Donald was based on the work he has done with Alred perform under pressure - that they try to instill a mindset that sees as inevitable success - and dug deep, pulling the kind of leaks that were the trademark of the late, great Seve Ballesteros, who won five world Matchplays and the title of the PGA at Wentworth.
"After an event, like a bad shot, the most important thing is the next event," preaching Alred.
So block to what had gone before, Donald came in four-32 minors.
"That back nine was crucial to the victory," the BBC golf commentator, said Ken Brown.
"I felt that Seve would have been proud of me," said Donald.
Donald achievement to reach the Summit of the game also shows that not has become golf all about energy. With an average distance of driving on the PGA Tour of 277.7 yards, compared with 316 leader JB Holmes yards, Donald is one of the shorter hitters (156th, in fact).
And, despite the former cartoon, it is not precise as part of his work in Wentworth showed - 33 in precision of driving with 65.38% success of streets. But it has a killer short game and third figure in the scrambling, making par or better despite not reaching the green in regulation.
Donald search for success has seen him even part of the company with Christian brother as his caddie last year, replacing him with experienced bagman John McLaren.
And new high-performance mentality was very apparent in the storm that still are they swirled around Wentworth on changes of the last year in the course of the West. Some moaned that it was too difficult, no more fun and that new look 18th has been misled. Donald only shrugged.
"No matter if you don't like the course, the challenge is to know how to get around in the least amount of shots," he said.
Based on the last 12 months, the new strain of the disease 'luke donald' worth catching.

Phil Mickelson - Secrets of the Short Game

Phil Mickelson - Secrets of the Short GameArnold Palmer has one. Jack Nicklaus has one. And now, Phil Mickelson has one. No, we're not talking about the Masters championships (although Mickelson has three of those), but a golf instruction video. Emmy-winner Terry Jastrow, who produced Palmer's and Nicklaus' own bestselling videos, brings his keen eye to this master class that concentrates on what Mickelson calls "the most important part of the game" (half of all shots played take place inside 50 yards, he states). Over the course of this nearly two-hour program, Mickelson demonstrates putting, chipping using his advocated "hinge and hold" method, bunker play, and his signature "flop shot." In an entertaining segment, he also demonstrates two specialty shots, a "Two Balls in Bunker" shot (don't try this at home) and the "Backward Over-the-Head" shot. The demonstrations are repeated in slow-motion and seen from a variety of angles. This program is for the serious golfer, but beginners need not feel too intimidated. Mickelson is a natural in front of the camera and is able to impart a lot of information in a relaxed style that makes even the most advanced concepts accessible. As one golf commentator exults during one of the dramatic highlights clips included as a bonus feature, this is as good as it gets. --Donald Liebenson

Golf for Dummies

Golf for DummiesThe book is now a movie, so to speak: Golf for Dummies, the print guide, has been adapted into this crisp, easy-to-follow, and entertaining DVD hosted by the original tome's author, CBS Sports commentator Gary McCord. McCord wants beginners to love the sometimes overwhelming game and he wants experienced players to know that Golf for Dummies is always there for reviewing basics and correcting common problems. The program starts with essentials: becoming familiar with an individual course (the par for each hole and lengths between); the difference between a birdie, a bogey, and an eagle; the importance of using the right equipment; the details of golf etiquette (keep things moving, cut down chatter). McCord stresses the need for a balanced stance, proper grip, and coordination to achieve a good swing. But for players repeatedly hooking and slicing, Golf for Dummies can coach one through that and much else. --Tom Keogh

Open playoff in U.S. for Ramsay pain

Richie RamsayRamsay had assumed that the tie-break will take place the next morning that Richie Ramsay seems to have lost of having partners Union Scot Stephen Gallacher in the open for the 2011 United States after turning too late for a tiebreaker.

Gallacher, did so with a stroke to spare after two rounds of qualifying at Walton Heath in Surrey.

Ramsay finished in a tie with the Swede Johan Edfors and Dane Andreas Harto.

But the Scot had already left the course went to a wedding in Belfast and came again as Edfors beat fed up to claim the item 11.

"I can't believe played when it was dark," said Ramsay later said that it was everything and that he had been named a reserve on 16 and 19 June Congress.

EDFORS won its place as the former champion of us skeptical Amateur in the parking lot.

Four hours earlier, having completed his fog delayed two rounds in four under par, the 27 years of Aberdeen had decided to go to Heathrow to try to get on a flight to Belfast and attend the wedding of the Tour partner Maybin Gareth player.

However, not only that could not level but then they told him that it might be in a playoff.

The expectations of all day were that on Tuesday morning would take place for the lost time, but when you have finished the last group, officials saw the opportunity for at least one extra hole.

EDFORS and tired were understandably concerned, especially knowing that Ramsay was going to be absent.

And, with it moved four peer to peer three to accelerate things, quite lost when he could not be placed above and below a bunker.

"As I went to 0530, guys are preparation on the first hole, but he took the decision and I cannot do anything about it," said Ramsay.

"Is not for me to say is good or bad, but it has only been a terrible day - just a terrible, terrible day".

It also proved to be a bad day for compatriot Colin Montgomerie.

Ryder Cup captain last year are still to return to the course where he was runner-up to Ernie Els - but only as commentator on television after rounds of 72 and 73 were five strokes too.

"If not writes, can not win - gave me it a go," said Montgomerie, who had high hopes after their seventh place in the BMW PGA Championship on Sunday - his first top 10 for almost three years.

"It is a work hard - was miserable out there".

Still with a chance to come at the same level with two par-fives, the 47-year-old backup 462nd worldwide to 305th with its efforts in the event of the European tour ship insignia, not birdie on 14 and 16, and between, were one of seven three-putts for the day.

The playoffs were conducted by the Belgian Nicolas Colsaerts, whose nine - finish headed Shane Lowry and Dutchman Maarten Lafeber of Ireland by a stroke.

Thomas Levet of France was one behind and also made English pair David Howell and Robert Rock six bass, while his compatriot Robert Dinwiddie, Gallacher, German Marcel Siem and Swedish Alex Noren.

Donald and Manassero share lead

Luke Donald

Donald struck with a double bogey at the sixth after him carving deep in the forest.

Luke Donald and Matteo Manassero will take a two shot lead at the end of the round of the Championship of the PGA at Wentworth on Sunday.

The couple carded very different rounds of 72 to put an end to an absorbing day linked to the five low.

World number one Lee Westwood (69) and Fabrizio Zanotti (69) are ready in second, with the dredging of Bradley, Simon Dyson and Raphael Jacquelin two low.

Donald fell five shots in his first six holes, but he fought back tenaciously.

With the number three global Martin Kaymer in four more and unlikely to finish in the first two, the 33-year-old Donald only need finish above Westwood to exceed it in the ranking.

But Donald, who said that "Invincible" in shooting seemed to him 64 on Thursday, was soon in trouble as his round threatened to unravel.

It began its downward spiral in the second short when you astillas through the Green and then saw the a back roll off on the other side on the way to a double bogey.

Fell another shot after a bunker in the third, he escaped with 'only' a few after finding trees again in the fourth time and accumulated a double bogey after him carving deep in the forest in the sixth.

But the English in United States held his nerve to four straight pairs before starting their way with birdies days 11 and 12.

Donald revival gathered pace with another birdie at 16 to return a part of the initiative and drains a long birdie on 17 to tie again with Manassero. Despite another unit in 18, Donald rescued par five trees to book a place in the last group with Italian young on Sunday.

"I need to figure out how I can keep it short and keep it away from the trees", said Donald. "I felt like Seve [Ballesteros], I was in trees with leaves everything on my back." I was dropping balls in the high grass and escape from everywhere and I do not think that it can be done two days in a row.

But he added: "I am very proud, it was a great support in the fight." It would have been easy for me to shoot out of the tournament. Certainly not I felt nervous, I only felt a little anxious because I don't have enough control that I would have liked. I kept persevering and try things and get that first birdie were important to the right of the nave. "It is not nice but I am with a great opportunity."

Manassero, already a two time winner after only turning pro last year, had three bogeys and two birdies on the way out and then came home with nine straight pairs.

"I played well." Was probably the most difficult day today, "said Manassero, who finished tied for 13 in the 2009 open as an amateur from 16 years of age."

"I enjoy courses as well when they play signature and when not to record so low that you can get shots make pars and save pairs." We must fight and I think I did well. It is a special event and is great to be in this position. "It is something to dream."

Westwood also preparing in contention after Donald to the end by eight shots after the first.

"I am overcoming my way there and this is the kind of golf course where you have to do it," he said. "It's a tough race." It has the feeling of a major championship where you have to hang up, trying to not make too many mistakes. I've been here outside very well now and I know how to get into the correct position. "

Asked if losing the number one place is a matter of concern, he said: "not at all." "I'm trying to win the PGA Championship".

Donald playing partner and leading co of second round than Quiros also had an adventurous day, accumulating a seven on the ninth of triple bogey and a triple-bogey eight on 17 a record to a 76 and slide back to nominal level.

The lowest round of the day belonged to Rory McIlroy, who birdied 16 and 17, but gambled to get to the 18th green in two and fell a shot at the last to finish with a 68 for one more.

Paul Casey and Ernie Els, who on Friday were involved in a dispute over redesigns of course of the South African, they were paired for the third round and both carded 72 at the end two more.

Donald relieved to survive he/she round

Casey, the 2009 PGA champion, had been added to the criticisms of Ian Poulter and described the new design - supervised by Els in 2010 and adjusted again to this year - as a "routine".

But asked after his round Saturday if the atmosphere with Els had been ice, English said that it is really the vision of Els.

And Els added: "I feel comfortable with the changes." I'm there 98%. May 15, the right front side is a bit too severe. But the boys must play now. This is no longer easy. It is a change of mentality. It is a better way, a test best. "The margin of error is obtained an important."

Both agreed that the structure of the course by tournament officials made too much criminal in windy conditions this week, but Westwood said later: "if it is a great tournament, which is as it is." You do not have birdie every hole and go to each indicator. Sometimes it is a good score. "I have no problem with flags hard".

Colin Montgomerie was level par 71 to remain two on, Ian Poulter was 73 for two envelope and Darren Clarke had a 8 and a seven on a 74 end also end with two on.

Germany Hansen, the defender of the USPGA champion, slipped later of for more than a 72 led to four more.

I will be fit for the US Open - Woods

Tiger Woods

Tiger Woods hopes will be "ready to go" for the US Open in mid-June despite injuries to his knee, Achilles, calf and back problems.

Woods has been using crutches and wearing a protective boot on his left leg to ensure it is appropriate.

But the age of 35 is still doubtful for the Memorial tournament which starts on May 30 in Dublin, Ohio.

Woods said: "I think that, in the next week, more or less, I can start practicing pain-free." "It's where I am."

For relief of medical Woods have not mentioned the possibility of more leg surgery.

"I have had four surgeries," Woods said. "Obviously, is not it was when I was young".

Woods hopes to begin physical training again at the end of the week, but did not start hitting balls again until that he knows how to answer his leg.

If, as expected, it is capable of playing in the Memorial, Woods would run for the US Open, held from 16 to 19 June, with little competition under his belt, although it has been in that situation before.

In 2008, he had arthroscopic surgery after the masters and he did not play again until the US Open but still won the tournament.

Doctors discovered a double fracture of his left tibia in the weeks before the big but Woods ignored his advice Woods played and won at Torrey Pines in a tiebreaker lasted 19 holes.

He says that his left leg is not nearly as bad as it was then, but Woods was forced to withdraw after only nine holes at the players championship this month.

It has also fallen in the upper part of the world 10 for the first time in 14 years and currently holds number 12.

Woods said: "not have played." It is one of the reasons that I have fallen as soon as I have. When playing, I've not played well. "Winning takes care of all that."

Before talking to the press on Tuesday, Woods posted on Twitter that donate 1 million dollars to his foundation if not reporters asked him about his leg.

Asked about the injured limb but Woods tweeted later that donate money anyway.
